This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
A three-time Norris Trophy winner and the record holder for most goals in a season by a defenseman to go along with a total of four Stanley Cup Championships, Paul Coffey was a force to be reckoned with both offensively and defensively. Hailing from his time with the Hartford Whalers and Philadelphia Flyers between 1996-1998 is this Sher-Wood PMP 5030 stick that was used by the legendary defenseman. Signed on the blade by Coffey in bold black marker, the signature presents well with no flaws whatsoever. Featuring factory graphics of “Coffey 77” and “handcrafted exclusively for Paul Coffey”, the stick features a factory stamp on the backside of the shaft listed as “1301 503”. The black tape found on the knob of the stick matches up to other examples that have previously come to market. The stick remains in excellent condition overall with the game wear being quite light especially with no blade tape present with the most visible wear being the top to bottom black streaks found on the shaft. No cracks or breaks are present. The stick is part of a large collection of sticks featured in this auction with our consignor informing us that he obtained most of them from various NHL All-Star Games over the years with four such examples from the collection having been photo-matched to All-Star Games. Additionally, included is a signed Paul Coffey Philadelphia Flyers authentic on-ice jersey by Nike. The orange size 52 sweater has been signed on the back in black marker by Coffey and displays well with no flaws whatsoever.
