Traded to the Bleu, Blanc et Rouge from the Tampa Bay Lightning for Brian Bellows before the start of the 1995-96 season, Marc Bureau would spend three seasons with Les Canadiens, establishing himself as a team leader with his rugged style of play that was rewarded by the team in the form of the alternate captain’s “A” that adorns the left side of the game-worn Bureau game worn jersey presented here. Donning from either the 1995-96 or 1996-97 season based on manufacture, this CCM made jersey showcases a size 56 fly tag in the neck and a CCM Maska laundry tag sewn into the inner left seam. The iconic crest of the Canadiens is found on the front of the jersey and showcases some evident puckering from game wear. “28” has been sewn on the arms and back of the jersey in double stacked tackle twill. Game wear is on the lighter side with a handful of board burns and marks evident, particularly on the sleeves. A small cut 1-inch cut in the material is found on the right sleeve just above the numbers. The interior of the jersey features pilling at the elbows and back bottom hem. A Canadiens LOA signed by Rejean Houle will accompany the piece.
