An NHL All-Star throughout his HOF career, selected to nine best-on-best showcases, Denis Savard enjoyed 17 seasons in the world’s best league and is currently ranked #32 for all-time points. The superstar also won a Stanley Cup championship with the Montreal Canadiens in 1993. This signed stick was used by Savard circa the late-1980s with Chicago before his trade to Montreal for Chris Chelios in the summer of 1990. A Canadien 6001 model, “Savard” is stamped to the upper shaft with “18” handwritten, with the original black tape over the blade, handle and knob intact. The stick shows moderate game-use and remains uncracked, with wear to the taped section of blade including a tear, along with marks to the shaft with a few blue paint transfer streaks. Savard added a black marker signature and greeting to the shaft.
