A resident journeyman of the game that spent the greatest part of his career with the San Jose Sharks organization, Douglas Murray would play 518 games in the National Hockey League with the San Jose Sharks, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Montreal Canadiens with various minor league stops in between. Presented here is a white road jersey worn by Murray during his lone season in the bleu, blanc et rouge of the Montreal Canadiens of 2013-14. The set 1 jersey, as signified by the handwritten “1” on the inside collar, is tagged a size “58+” with the fly tag still attached at the inner neck. The NHL shield and Reebok cresting adorn the front and back necklines respectively. Stylized in the instantly recognizable Canadiens crest, “6” has been stitched to both sleeves and the reverse in a triple-stacked three colour tackle twill. The back number has a Canadiens hologram sticker number “GU11146” affixed to the back number. Team set tagging has been sewn to the inside of the jersey on the back near the lower hem, additionally, the interior reverse of the jersey also features a team altered, shorter fight strap. The jersey does exhibit some elements of game wear such as puck and stick marks in various places as well as some loose threading. The interior of the jersey shows some loose threading around the neck, hem, and seams.
