Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
First donned by Pat Elynuik during his second of two seasons in our nation’s capital in 1995-96, and later during the 1996-97 NHL preseason/training camp by rookie Bruce Gardiner, we offer a game-worn Ottawa Senators jersey. A Maska label with sewn-down size “56” fly tag is affixed to the collar, with embroidered CCM and NHL crests over the reverse hem. Styled with a large textured tackle twill team crest with embroidered detailing, “25” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in layered twill, with matching alternate crests gracing the shoulders. The “18 Smitty” memorial patch for Brian Smith resides over the right breast. The jersey also shows evidence of the former “Elynuik” nameplate, with heavy game-use visible, including numerous puck and stick marks as well as burns over the front, reverse and sleeves, with staining present, including around the collar. There are also two team repairs on the right sleeve. A MeiGray COR will accompany.
