Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
A 1969-70 O-Pee-Chee Bobby Hull, issued after his NHL career-best 58-goal season and mentioned him as the hockey’s glamour boy, along with the rookie cards of four Hall of Famers lead the encapsulated segment of this interesting lot, with Montreal-based ACA responsible for the inspection and grading. Bobby Clarke (3 VG), Marcel Dionne (4.5 VGEX+) and Borje Salming (3 VG) rookies are OPC entries, with Mike Bossy’s RC (7 NM) being a Topps version. Other slabbed rookies are ’67-68 Topps #54-Gerry Goyer (5 EX) and three OPCs; ’71-72 Rick Martin (4 VGEX) and Craig Patrick (3.5 VG+), along with ’73-74 Dave Schultz (6 EXMINT). Present in raw form are the Topps RCs of Brad Park (G) and René Robert (NM), with Dan Bouchard’s OPC rookie a low grade throw-in. A swell complement is a modern Topps Archives version of Bobby Hull’s rookie card that The Golden Jet signed in blue marker in his classic big flowing style. No scratches/scuffs are to report regarding the thick, sturdy ACA holders.
