Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

Hockey’s famous “Boom Boom,” Bernie Geoffrion is featured here, his first four Parkhurst issues leading both chronologically and in terms of importance. The Boomer’s 1951-52 rookie card is an acceptable, technically low grade (P) example, with a bit of ink added to partially cover up a vertical scrape to the left of the young star’s image and a couple of light creases notable, including a side-to-side job through the middle. Two Canadian grading firms are responsible for the assessment of five other cards, with ACA rendering 2 GOOD and 3 VG verdicts respectively after examining ’52-53 and ’54-55 Parkies and KSA assigning its 4 VGE mark to a ’53-54 representative. In ACA holders are Geoffrion’s last Parkhurst card (’63-64 #88 makes it to 5 EX) and his last appearance in a Rangers uniform (’67-68 Topps #29)(3 VG), while completing is a (raw) ’66-67 Topps card, the latter technically miscut but with attractive crease-free EX characteristics. The colorful Boom Boom Geoffrion is worthy of your consideration, with no notable condition issues to report regarding the holders themselves.
