Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

The first Olympic tournament Canada competed in since 1968 in Grenoble, the 1980 Winter Olympics featured a Canadian squad that went 3-3, and finished in sixth place. Hailing from the personal collection of Norm Scully, this signed stick is attributed to the 1979-80 Canadian National Team, and was possibly signed at a camp for the 1980 Winter Olympics. A CCM Custom Pro Varsity model with intact striping accent, a date stamp of “7 Nov 1978” appears over the lower shaft. Signed by approx 29, 10 of the signers were also members of the 1980 Canadian National Team at the Olympics, including Warren Anderson, Dan D’Alvise, Ron Davidson, Randy Gregg, Paul MacLean, Jim Nill, Brad Pine, Bob Dupuis, Don Spring and Stelio Zupancich, with Father David Bauer and Clare Drake (coach of 1980 Canadian Olympic hockey team) also signing. The ballpoint signatures display well, with the stick remaining in gorgeous like-new condition. A signed LOA from Norm Scully will accompany.
