On the eve of an especially successful era in the career of Pavel Datsyuk, the superstar playmaker would win his first of four-consecutive Lady Byng Memorial Trophies in 2006, followed a string of consecutive Frank J Selke Trophy wins in 2008, 2009 and 2010. These signed skates were worn by the Magic Man in 2005-06 (beginning in late January), and are photo-matched to the 2006 Winter Olympics as well as the following season, in 2007-08. Reebok 9K Pump models with Reebok E Pro blade holders, “Datsyuk 9-10” decals grace each underside boot, Pavel has signed each inside blade holder in black marker. The skates exhibit considerable game-use, with heavy wear to the material in areas along with numerous cuts to the toe sections. The blade holders are also covered with dark marks and cuts, with additional wear to the blades visible but no rusting. Getty Image #56863372 (February 16, 2006 - Winter Olympics) has been matched to the long black mark on the back interior portion of the blade holder on the left skate (has Datsyuk's signature over it) and to the mark on the left edge of the RBK logo on the back exterior portion of the blade holder on the right skate. Additionally, Getty Images #81398754 (February 21, 2006 - Winter Olympics) and #56910818 (February 22, 2006 - Winter Olympics) have both been matched to the two long black marks on the back interior portion of the blade holder on the left skate, while Getty Images #78964890 (February 19, 2006 - Winter Olympics), #72048349 (September 22, 2006 - pre-season game) and #72048349 (September 22, 2006 - pre-season game) have been matched to marks on the interior blade holder of the left skate and marks on the exterior blade holder of the right skate. Lastly, Getty Image #72345002 (November 1, 2006) has been matched to marks on the exterior blade holder of the right skate.
