Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club's comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
The departure of Radek Bonk allowed Tomas Plekanec to wear number 14 with Montreal starting in the 2007-08 season. While wearing these new digits on his jersey, he broke out with a 29-goal and 69-point campaign to finish second in the club’s scoring race behind Alex Kovalev. There are minor marks on the front of the frame as to be expected from hanging in one of hockey's holy temples, but it will display nicely in your home or office. On the back, there are no issues of note. Direct from the archives of the Montreal Canadiens, this framed display was likely displayed at the Bell Centre. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
