Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Joining once again, in collaboration with the Montreal Canadiens, Classic Auctions is pleased to offer a large collection of artifacts and memorabilia from the storied club’s comprehensive archives. A number of historic specimens direct from the famous team including unique displays that were once marvelously displayed in the hallowed Montreal Forum and later at the Bell Centre are available, with an endless array of legendary and monumental players featured that all proudly once donned the sacred jersey of the mighty Montreal Canadiens.
The Montreal Canadiens would complete the 1996-97 NHL season in fourth place in the Northeast Division and would be defeated by the New Jersey Devils in the Stanley Cup playoffs 4 games to 1. Direct from the archives of the Montreal Canadiens and most likely displayed at the Molson/Bell Centre, we have a 1996-97 Montreal Canadiens framed team photo display. At approx 26” x 39”, the large full colour print pictures the entire squad and management posed at ice level, with the iconic Habs CH logo in full view. Double-matted and framed to full dimensions of approx 35” x 48”, an engraved gold-coloured plaque has been inserted beneath, with wear to the frame and glass present. Please also note that due to the excessive size and/or weight, special shipping arrangements may be required. An LOA from Classic Auctions will be included.
