Featuring the two all-time most successful Fall Classic teams pitted against each other, the 1942 World Series witnessed Joe DiMaggio and the New York Yankees battle a rookie Stan Musial and the St Louis Cardinals, with the series won in five by the Cards. We offer a vintage 1942 World Series Game 3 Yankee Stadium ticket stub. Taking place on Oct 3rd, the Yankees were shutout, with the Cardinals scoring single runs in the third and ninth innings for a 2-0 victory. The Lower Grandstand reserve seat lists “1942 World Series” and “Game 3”, along with the original listed price including tax of $5.50. Sporting a large crease and toning, the tip of the bottom right corner is torn away, with the stub displaying admirably overall.
