Serving as a farm club for the Montreal Canadiens throughout the 1970s, the Nova Scotia Voyageurs were three-time Calder Cup champions and the first team in Canada to win the prestigious trophy. These official team photos originate from the championship seasons of 1975-76 and 1976-77. At 11” x 14” and mounted on 15” x 19” heavy stock paper with printed lineups along the base, the 1975-76 photo is detached from its mount, while each glossy stock image shows just light wear overall, with heavier toning and corner wear to the mounts. The 1976-77 mount also sports an edge tear, with a slight crease to the photo where the tear ends. Notables include Pierre Mondou, Brian Engblom (1975-76), Noel Price (1975-76), Ron Wilson (1976-77), Peter Lee (1976-77), Greg Fox (1976-77) and others.
The 1975-76 Voyageurs, led by the likes Ron Andruff, Pierre Mondou, Guy Chouinard, and Noel Price, finished first overall that season with a whopping 104 points and then proceeded to demolish the Rochester Americans in 4 games in the Northern Division Finals and the Hershey Bears in 5 games of the Finals to hoist the AHL Calder Cup. The following year, 1976-77, saw Mondou, Rod Schutt, Peter Lee, Gilles Lupien and the gang rack up an even better 110 points to finsh atop the standings once again, and in the playoffs took out Hershey in 6 games and Rochester in 6 to once again hoist the Calder Cup.
