Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

The 1933-34 New Liskeard Junior Hockey Club captured the Northern Ontario Hockey Association Junior Championship. This framed team photo is an excellent example of panoramic photography from the era and includes the names of the team members. One member of this team did make his way to the NHL and even ended up with his name on hockey's greatest prize. Harry Frost played two games in the 1938-39 season for the Boston Bruins. The Bruins then used him once more during their playoff run that year and Frost had his name engraved for all time on the Stanley Cup after the team took down the Toronto Maple Leafs in 5 games. At approx 8" x 28", there are four evenly-placed vertical creases, with the photo likely folded at some point, with some additional wear visible, including over the left side. Matted and framed to approx 12" x 33", there is some light wear to the frame to note.
