Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
The long-time captain of the powerful Soviet Union national team, Viacheslav Fetisov has won over a dozen gold medals representing his nation internationally. The Moscow native is also well remembered for his time in the NHL, especially with Detroit, winning back-to-back Stanley Cups in 1997 and 1998. We have a signed stick used by Fetisov in the mid-1990s. An Easton 7100 model with inserted wooden Christian blade, “Fetisov” is stamped to the stem of the blade, with the original white tape over the blade and handle intact, with a black “spiral” tape pattern over the shaft. Heavy game-use is shown, with marks and wear to the taped blade and underside, with numerous marks, wear and residue to the shaft. The handle is also quite tattered along the top section. Fetisov has added a black marker signature to the front side blade.
