Two of the best teams the city of Detroit has ever had play in it, the Stanley Cup returned to Hockeytown in 1997 and enjoyed it so much that it elected to stay another year in 1998 as the Red Wings won back-to-back Cups over the Philadelphia Flyers and Washington Capitals respectively. Offered here, is this Detroit Red Wings 1997 & 1998 Stanley Cup Champions multi-signed jersey by 18. A CCM made jersey with size “XL” and brand tagging affixed to the inner collar, the front is styled with the famed Red Wings winged wheel crest featuring embroidered details with both the 1997 and 1998 Stanley Cup Finals also affixed. With the original tags still attached to the left cuff, the sleeves have “97” and “98” sewn to them in single layer white twill numbers. Two beautiful Stanley Cup shaped patches are found over the reverse with one reading “believe”, a motto used by the 1998 squad while “Stanley Cup Champions” is spelt out in red twill letters. 18 have signed the back of the jersey including Nicklas Lidstrom, Chris Osgood, Kris Draper, Joey Kocur, Darren McCarty, Larry Murphy, Mathieu Dandenault, Doug Brown, Kirk Maltby, Tomas Holmstrom, Brent Gilchrist and others with all the signatures having been done in black marker and displaying without issue. In new with tags condition, the only flaw of note is a small stain above the CCM patch on the lower reverse hem. An LOA signed by former Zamboni driver, Al Sobotka, who worked for the Red Wings for 51 years will accompany the jersey.
