Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

A shoebox-like boyhood collection offered here features mostly enjoyed but not abused O-Pee-Chee cards (mostly from the 1970s) and dates back to some three dozen 1971-72 entries. Okay, a Ken Dryden rookie card is a tortured Poor example with multiple creases but a Guy Lafleur RC (G) is much more respectable and includes a nice black marker autograph. Some of you may find approximately 300 from ’72-73 appealing, given that most stars and 3rd Series cards are present, although condition is not wonderful and 129-Orr is among the missing. Expect a majority of VG-or-lower cards and you’ll be pleased with those which are a notch or two higher. Similar are 200+ from ’73-74, while condition tends to improve in ensuing years (VG to EX cards dominate), with approximately 400 from ’74-75 including an interesting rookie card roster. Card totals are approximate and also include representation from ’75-76 (400), ’76-77 (300) and ’77-78 (400). Three dozen different ’74-75 Lipton Soup cards have often-seen rough cuts, with a little WHA action and miscellaneous cards from other years also in the mix. A VG+ Grant Fuhr RC leads a small stack from the ‘80s. Check out our images of the key components of the collection and decide if you’ll be the next (second) owner of these fun blasts from the past.
