Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Held during September and featuring games played in numerous Canadian cities, the 1976 Canada Cup was the first of five such tournaments, with the red and white defeating a talented Czechoslovak squad in a two-game final. Broad Street Bully Bobby Clarke would serve as captain, while superstar Bobby Orr garnered MVP honours and Rogie Vachon would finish the tournament’s best goaltender. This program produced for the 1976 Canada Cup has been signed by 12. Fully intact, with the center spread listing the line-ups for all 6 nations (there are pen notations to the US and Swedish rosters), all 12 have signed the cover in matching black marker, including Bobby Orr, Bobby Hull, Darryl Sittler, Reggie Leach, Lanny McDonald, Bill Barber, Pete Mahovlich, Scotty Bowman and a few others. The signatures present nicely, with light wear to the program including toning along with a few minor creases to the cover.
