One of the most recognizable and storied franchises in all of sport and especially in the confines of the National Hockey League, the Toronto Maple Leafs have won 13 Stanley Cups in their over 100-year history and have had some of the leagues best players wear their blue and white colours including some of the men in this lot. Presented here in this five (5) piece lot are items containing signatures of Wendel Clark, John Tavares, Nazem Kadri, and Mats Sundin. The first item presented is a signed framed and matted 8” x 10” of noted fan favourite, Wendel Clark, taken after another classic fisticuff. Housed in a black wooden frame and measuring out to a total size of 15” x 17”, the frame remains in excellent condition with only one nick on the bottom side. Contained within the display to go along with the photo is a plaque listing Clark’s name as well as two Maple Leafs logo pins. The piece has a AJ Sports World hologram affixed to the corner of the photograph and an accompanying certificate of authenticity attached to the back of the frame. Next is a London Knights ballcap signed by current Maple Leafs captain, John Tavares. Originally the first overall pick of the New York Islanders in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Tavares signed on with the Maple Leafs prior to the 2018-19 season. Before his NHL career, Tavares finished his junior career with the London Knights of the OHL where he signed this RBK made cap. A limited edition offering numbered “20/61” and commemorating JT’s first game as a knight, Tavares has signed on the bill in silver marker. In perfect unworn condition, a BBC Authentic hologram has been affixed to the bill beside the autograph. The underside of the bill features a second hologram from Lucky Sports Authentics. Accompanying the cap, is a shadowbox display of Tavares from his time as a New York Islander. The piece, produced by Frameworth, measures out to 21 ¾” x 17 ¾” and features three 3” x 5” action shots of Tavares to go along with a black stick blade that has been signed in silver marker. A Frameworth hologram has been affixed to the blade and the piece displays with no flaws whatsoever. Thirdly, is a signed 11” x 14” photo by former Maple Leaf, Nazem Kadri. Displaying perfectly, Kadri, who has signed in bold blue marker, enjoyed 10 seasons with Maple Leafs before being traded to the Colorado Avalanche. An AJ Sports World hologram has been affixed to the bottom right of the photograph. Lastly, is a piece commemorating the 2000 NHL All-Star Game held in Toronto at the newly opened Air Canada Centre, the 50th edition of said event. An official commemorative jersey patch for the game and official game puck are housed in a sleek metal shadowbox display that measures 12 ¼” x 15 ¼”. On a red background and covered by a navy-blue matte, the game puck has been signed by then Leafs captain, Mats Sundin, in gold ink. A small plaque has been added to the display listing the event information as well as mentioning Sundin as the starting centre for team The World. A certificate of authenticity from the Maple Leafs accompanies the piece.
