Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
An incredible two-piece lot that contains the signatures of hockey’s most prominent legends who collectively have a combined total of 32 Stanley Cup Championships. The first piece happens to be a dual-signed photograph of the famous Richard brothers, Maurice and Henri. Both have scrawled their signatures under their respective images in this action shot that captures the brothers stopping side to side. The signatures remain strong with both in blue ink; however, the signature of the elder Richard does appear to have faded a bit from age but overall does not compromise the legibility of the autograph. Housed in a wooden black frame with golden interior outline, it does present well despite some wear present from age. The piece measures out to 17” x 14” in total with the photograph at approximately 9.5” x 7.5” and contains a silver plaque identifying the subjects as the Richard brothers.
The second frame contains the art piece called “Where Legends Begin” featuring kids playing shinny on an outdoor rink. Housed in a grey wooden frame that remains in great condition with minimal wear, the piece is double matted in white and blue and features logo pins of the NHL shield and Hockey Canada with a silver plaque identifying the players who have signed it as well the name of the piece and the presenting partner, TSN. Serial numbered 513/800 and measuring 15.5” x 12.5” as a whole, the piece has been signed in fine pencil that displays beautifully by the likes of Johnny Bower, Guy Lafleur, Mike Bossy, Marcel Dionne, and Paul Henderson. Affixed to the back of the piece is a certificate of authenticity by Signature Authentics.
