Without the key Ken Dryden rookie card, the notorious #111-1st Series Checklist and 231-Kearns RC but including some rather appealing attractive cards is this gathering of O-Pee-Chee’s forever-popular 1971-72 issue. In older (scratch-free) PSA holders are important rookie cards of Guy Lafleur (NM 7) and Marcel Dionne (EX 5), with fraying observed along part of the top edge of the former, to go along with a touched upper right corner, while the latter has three dinged corners and wear to the fourth among its grade-lowering aspects. Bobby Orr’s regular (#100) issue is miscut and with a small stain (otherwise EX), with 245-Orr Norris/Hart and 251-Orr All-Star nicer at EX+. The other key/star cards, pulled from 9-pocket pages, have us surmising of a majority throughout the binder of EX, EX+ and EX-MT representatives, with some NM-or-better cards also involved, along with some sub-EX specimens. Special Gordie Howe (EX+) and Jean Beliveau (EX) cards are noteworthy, as is the 264-2nd Series Checklist, the latter featuring partially erased marks in each box and a diamond cut but otherwise displaying EX characteristics. Bonuses are 39 duplicates at the end of the binder, with a green ink-like mark to note in the top left corner of 262-Gordie Howe (o/w EX+), and appearances from 110-T. Esposito, 120-Richard, 156-Vachon (2) and 261-Bobby Hull All-Star among them. A 255-Johnny Bucyk All-Star is enhanced by a beauty blue ballpoint autograph. Classic blasts from the past, now over 50 years old, await your (“I want them”) decision.
