Joining the Boston Bruins during his 16th NHL season in 1975-76, Jean Ratelle would average over a-point-a-game while in a Bruins jersey for six seasons, and conclude his HOF career after the 1980-81 campaign. Setting an NHL record by producing 11 players scoring 20-or-more goals during the 1977-78 season, the Bruins presented each of the 11 with a commemorative plaque, and we offer the example originally presented to Ratelle, accompanied by his early-1980s Bruins coaching jacket, 1980s Bruins windbreaker, coaching whistle and Bruins track pants. The wooden trophy plaque is 14” x 14” and sports beveled edges along with an affixed shield-shaped metal plate that lists the particulars and pictures all 11 players, with a small plate affixed beneath with “Presented by Boston Bruins to Jean Ratelle” engraved. There are a few minor bends and indentations to the shield-shaped plate. The Bruins jacket has Birdie labeling with “L” sizing, with a tackle twill team crest to the left breast and “Assistant Coach Jean” embroidered over the right. Moderate use is shown with pilling to the collar, cuffs and waist band, with wear and minor rusting to the clasps. The Bruins windbreaker is in team colours and has Shain labeling along with a tackle twill team crest to the left breast, with just light wear present. The track pants are black and sport gold stripes. With the interior laebl removed. Originating from his personal collection, signed LOAs will accompany for the trophy, Bruins jacket and Bruins windbreaker.
