With legendary keepers Ken Dryden and Vladislav Tretiak suiting-up to defend their respective nations, Game 6 of the famous Canada-Russia Series in 1972 witnessed the Canadians fall behind early in the second period. After scoring a trio of unanswered goals, the Soviets responded too little too late, with the red and white taking the victory in Moscow, 3-2. We offer an original 16mm film of Game 6 (Sept 24, 1972) in the original cannister, accompanied by a trio of different vintage youth-sized 1976 Canada Cup sweaters (one is a ¾ sleeve polo shirt). The film and cannister shows age/storage wear, with a period note left inside the cannister, and rusting to the metal components of the strapping. “2000 Feet 2 Reel” is also stamped to the cannister along with a few period stickers and a handwritten notation. The sweaters include the polo shirt, with cameo images of the full team and Penmans labeling with “small” sizing, followed by a white Penmans sweater in “medium” size that features the logos of each competing nation (a few small stains present), and lastly, a white Penmans sweater with red sleeves, in “small” sizing, with a collage image of Team Canada players including Tony Esposito (a few marks to the sweater).
