Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

The first European goaltender to lead the NHL in GAA, Dominik Hasek earned considerable awards and accolades throughout his HOF career, and sports the highest career saves percentage in history. A six-time Vezina winner, Hasek also hoisted the Stanley Cup with Detroit in 2002 and 2008, and we offer a Hasek team-signed stick with use attributed to the Cup-clinching Game 5 of the Stanley Cup finals. A Louisville TPS model, “Hasek” factory graphics appear on the upper shaft, with the stick retaining its original tape over the blade, paddle and knob. Heavy game-use is shown with wear to the taped section of blade along with numerous marks, chips and areas of paint transfer throughout, with a decal added to the upper shaft that states “Stanley Cup clinching game June 13, 2002 Joe Louis Arena game used, team signed Hasek stick Game 5”, with a Hockeytown hologram numbered “23847” placed near the handle. “1/6” is also handwritten in black marker, and we should note that we could not find images of Hasek using this exact stick in the final. Approx 30 have signed one side of the shaft/blade/paddle in black marker, including Yzerman, Hull, Bowman, Lidstrom, Cheelios, Fedorov, Larionov, Robitaille, Bowman, Draper, Devereaux, Dandenault, Krupp, Kuznetsov, Maltby, Olausson and others.
