Delivering on his promise of a guaranteed victory over the Baltimore Colts at Super Bowl III, Joe Namath also served as the game’s MVP, with the win making the superstar the first quarterback to start and win a national championship game in college, a major professional league championship, and a Super Bowl. Broadway Joe was also voted the NFL’s all-time greatest character in a survey conducted by the Associated Press of 60 football historians and media members. Paying tribute to his 1965 Topps rookie card, we have a large oversized limited-edition print of his inaugural issue that has been signed by the HOFer, set in an attractive framed display. At approx 11” x 17” and accurately sporting the bright yellow background, the rookie image has been signed by the two-time MVP in blue marker within the upper section, with small 4” x 5” cameo images inserted at each side. Framed to full dimensions of 31” x 32”, a plaque listing career stats has been placed at the base along with flanking Jets logos, with a Basic Certification from JSA for the signature affixed to the reverse of the frame.
