Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

Finishing first in the West Division during just the second season of the expansion franchise, the St Louis Blues were led by Red Berenson’s 82 points in 1968-69, with veteran Glenn Hall securing 19 wins. The Blues would defeat Philadelphia and Los Angeles in the playoffs before falling to the mighty Montreal Canadiens in the Stanley Cup final. 1954 Calder Memorial winner Camille Henry finished tied for fourth in scoring for St Louis in 1968-69, and we offer the 18K gold ring present to “The Eel” for the Blues’ status as a “West Division Champions”. Size 9 with an approx weight of 33.18 grams according to the accompanying gemological jewelry appraisal report, the desirable keepsake sports a gold-coloured Blues logo over the rectangular-shaped blue enameling on the tableau, with “West Division” in raised arching letters above, and “Champions” below. The right shank sports a raised NHL shield crest, while the left features a pair of crossed hockey sticks with “1969”. “Camille Henry” is also engraved to the band in script, with “18K” stamped beneath. Showing heavy wear from considerable and lengthy use, there are small areas where the material is somewhat worn down, with scratches over the enameling on the tableau. There is also a few small dings and gouges along the band’s edges. Despite these imperfections, the vintage ring displays beautifully, and will be accompanied by a Henry family LOA along with the aforementioned gemological jewelry appraisal report.
