The first Super Bowl appearance for the franchise, occurring in it’s 33rd season of operations, the Atlanta Falcons lost only two games in 1998 and finished 1st in the NFC West. Initially beating San Fran in the Divisional Playoffs, the Falcons met the and defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game 30-27, on Jan 17, 1998, at the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis. This 1998 Atlanta Falcons NFC Championship 10K gold and diamond ring was presented to cornerback Michael Booker. Size 10 with an approx weight of 50 grams, an enamel Falcons logo sits centered over a bed of real diamonds on the tableau, with “Atlanta Falcons” in slanted raised letters above, and “NFC Champions” below. The right shank has a Super Bowl XXXIII logo with “Booker” above in raised letters and 16-3 below, along with Booker’s number “20”, while the left sports an NFC logo with “1998” above in raised numerals and the score from the game below. The inner band has a Jostens hallmark stamped along with “10K”. Exhibiting good wear from use, there are scratches to the band and shanks, with a few small dings to edges of the band.
