Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022

Featuring a starting line made up entirely of HOFers including Alec Connell, Frank Nighbor and Cy Denneny, this Ottawa Auditorium program for the Senators hails from just the ninth NHL season in 1926-27, and was produced for a match vs the Montreal Maroons on Thur, March 10, 1927. Loaded with period advertisements including from longtime Senators stick maker H.A. Proulx along with an Ottawa home schedule, the delicate 8-page program also features images of legendary superstars King Clancy and Hooley Smith, with these images used for each of their 1923 V145-1 William Paterson cards as well as Smith’s 1924 C144 Champs Cigarette card. Sporting a vertical bend along with toning to the interior pages, there is a split at the base of the spine, with the program surviving in otherwise excellent condition. The Maroons would shut out the Sens on this day, with HOFer Red Dutton scoring the lone goal, but the Senators would hoist Lord Stanley's trophy at the conclusion of the season.
