Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
The first European-trained starting goaltender to win the Stanley Cup, Dominik Hasek “dominated” throughout much of the 1990s, with his consecutive Hart Memorial Trophies late in the decade unmatched by any other keeper. Originating near the genesis of his career in the early-to-mid-1990s, we have a signed stick used by the Czech star, with this specific type of model seeing action with The Dominator during his first four seasons in Buffalo. A Sher-Wood PMPG 5030 model with “Hasek” and “39” stamped to the upper shaft, the original tape jobs are in place on the blade, lower paddle and knob. Showing heavier game-use with numerous puck marks to both sides of the blade and tears to the blade tape, there is also a chip to the top-side edge of the blade, and additional marks and red paint transfer to the paddle and shaft. Hasek has signed the upper paddle in black marker, with the signature remaining completely bold.
