Scoring almost 400 playoff points throughout his unmatched and unrivalled career, Wayne Gretzky would famously net 47 points in a mere 18 post-season contests in 1984-85 – his best career total, with 40 points scored in 24 playoff games in 1992-93, the most he would achieve with Los Angeles. From the 1992-93 NHL season, we have a signed stick used by The Great One during the 1993 Stanley Cup playoffs. An Easton HXP 5100 Aluminum model with “Gretzky” factory graphics over the upper shaft, “Gretzky” also appears stamped on the stem of the inserted Easton wooden stick blade. The original black tape is in place over the blade and “Gripper” over the knob, with “P - 93” above and “63” beneath added in black marker to the butt end. Gretzky autographed across the front side heel in dark blue marker, adding his famous “99”. Light game-use is exhibited with minor wear to the blade and a few scratches and marks to the shaft. Wielded by the game’s all-time greatest during the quest for Lord Stanley’s elusive hardware, this stick is ideal for any world class stick collection.
