Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Founded in Weston, Ontario in 1899, Canada Cycle and Motor; better known as CCM, began producing bicycles at inception, and with that market saturated by the early-1900s, the company expanded into making hockey skates, which progressed into offering a full line of hockey and other sporting goods. This original die cut cardboard store sign hails from approx the 1940s, and advertises CCM products as “Insurpassable”. At approx 17” x 22” at the widest points, a generic player is pictured over an ace of clubs playing card while using a CCM Hand Made Extra Special decal model, with the company logo with 3D shadow placed beneath. The sign exhibits surface wear along with a few large creases, with a bit of material loss and pinholes over the corners.
