Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
A standout with the Montreal Canadiens despite his short tenure which included scoring more than a-point-a-game throughout his 110 regular-season and playoff contests, Pierre Turgeon was selected first overall by Buffalo in 1987, and dressed for six different NHL clubs including the New York Islanders and Dallas Stars. This stick was used by Turgeon during the 1990s, with this specific type of model seeing action for a number of seasons during his time with the Islanders and Canadiens. A Victoriaville Ultra Vic 4050 model with “P Turgeon” stamped, the original black tape remains over the blade and white over the knob, with “77” handwritten to the upper shaft. The stick shows good game-use, with wear to the underside of the blade and marks throughout the length of the shaft.
