Originally formed as the Muskegon Zephyrs in 1960, and renamed for the 1965-66 IHL season, the Muskegon Mohawks spent almost two decades under that moniker, which included winning the Turner Cup in 1968. This Mohawks jersey hails from the early-1980s. A worn laundering label is affixed to the collar along with “XL” sizing, with the heavy durene jersey measuring-out to roughly a size 52. Styled with a screened Mohawks team crest, “30” is heat-pressed to the sleeves and verso in red vinyl, with no nameplate over the upper reverse. Exhibiting game-use which includes a few visible marks along with minor discolouration over the front band, light pilling and a team repair near the team crest, we should note that goaltender Kevin Eastman wore #30 in 1980-81, goalie Wally Charko wore #30 in 1981-82, goalie Gordie Laxton wore #30 in 1982-83 and goalie Bob Parent wore #30 in 1983-84, the last season for the team in the IHL.
