Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
A journeyman throughout his time in the NHL, dressing for nine different clubs over parts of almost a dozen seasons, Kevin Miller was drafted by the New York Rangers in 1984 before attending Michigan State for four seasons. This Red Wings jersey was worn by the Michigan native during his second season with Detroit, in 1991-92. Eastside and Maska labeling is affixed to the collar with handwritten “50” sizing, with embroidered NHL and CCM crests over the reverse hem. Styled with the classic winged-wheel Red Wings team crest, “1” is sewn to the sleeves and verso in single twill, with the NHL 75th anniversary crest sewn to the right breast. Sporting nice game-use, there are a few large stick marks over the front and right sleeve along with pilling beneath the fight strap. We should note that the image used for this listing appears to show the washed-out black mark on the left edge of the team crest, but the resolution of the image isn’t clear enough to call a definitive photo-match.
