Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Hailing from the unlikely but breathtaking Goose Creek in South Carolina, goaltender Brian Billett spent a trio of seasons with New Hampshire in the EJHL before attending Boston College and backstopping the Eagles from 2011-12 to 2013-14. Billett would later play in the SPHL with Knoxville, Pensacola and Evansville. This mask was worn by Billett during his time with BC, in 2013-14. A hand-laminated Promasque model with intact strapping, cage and back plate, the interior “PRO-AIR FITTING SYSTEM” has been removed (this featured custom padding for the cheek and jaw areas), with the paint design sporting an attractive Boston College logo over the forehead and “Billsy” over the chin section, with an eagle, “Boston Strong” and flag motifs over the back plate, along with a Boston Fire Department sticker (somewhat loose). Heavy game-use is shown throughout with considerable surface chipping over the chin and scratches and chips over the forehead. There is also staining beneath the mouth guard and minor soiling to the interior padding.
