Registering point totals of 104 and 38 respectively during their only season of play in the Ontario Hockey Association with the Toronto Marlboros, brothers Mark and Marty Howe would help the Marlies to a Memorial Cup championship that year, after being ranked the #1 in Canada for most of the season. Offered here and hailing from that fruitful year, is this pair of sticks used by Mark and Marty during their time wearing the blue and white of the Marlboros. Both Victoriaville Pro model offering that have "M Howe" stamped to their upper shafts, Mark's stick sports a lone additional number "9" stamp over the upper portion while Marty's has been decorated by a pair of stamps displaying his number "3". Both retaining their original tape jobs of white-over-black on the handle/knob and black around the blades, both sticks have seen their accent stickers that once wrapped around the shafts lost to time while good game-use is exhibited via numerous dark marks throughout both sticks along with other marks and abrasions including spots of red post paint transfer that is heaviest on Mark's twig. With light wear observed over the bottom of both blades, Marty's stick has a small crack extending from the toe into the middle of the blade and a small chip at the top edge of the toe that is worth pointing out for accuracy.
