Beginning his HOF career playing alongside his famous father with the WHA’s Houston Aeros, Mark Howe dressed for three different NHL clubs throughout his 18 seasons, and holds numerous records for a U.S. born defenseman, including most career short-handed goals. From his final season with Detroit in 1994-95, we offer a signed stick used by Howe, accompanied by his signed 2014 Bridgestone Winter Classic Red Wings alumni game jersey. First, the stick is an Easton 7000 model with inserted Christian wooden stick blade, with the original black tape on the blade and white ribbed pattern over the handle. Moderate use is shown with wear to the underside of the blade, with Howe signing the heel in black marker. The jersey sports size “56” CCM labeling affixed to the collar along with a team store price tag, with CCM and NHL crests gracing the reverse neckline and bottom hem respectively. Styled with a large Old English “D” in single red twill, “4” is sewn to the sleeves and verso, with alternate crests over each shoulder. Just light use is shown with a few marks visible, with Howe signing near the team crest in black marker, adding “HOF 2011”, with a second silver signature added to the reverse “4” that blends into the background material.
