The only player in NHL history to score over 600 goals while earning 2,000+ penalty minutes, Brendan Shanahan played an impressive 21 seasons, shared amongst the Blues, Red Wings, Devils, Rangers and Hartford. This signed stick was used by Shanahan circa 1998, with Getty Images #1300415048 showing him using this model of stick early on in the 1998-99 season. An Easton Classic aluminum model, “Shanahan” is stamped but faded over the inserted wooden Easton blade, with the original black tape over the handle/knob, with the blade tape removed (considerable residue remains). Heavy game-use is exhibited with wear throughout including numerous marks to the shaft, with “12/8” also handwritten to the top of the knob. Shanahan has signed the blade in black marker, with no issues for the signature.
