Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Featuring the first NHL player to reach 1,000 games before the age of 31, Dale Hawerchuk won the Calder Memorial as the youngest player in history to reach 100 points (since beaten by Sidney Crosby), and we offer a signed stick used by the now deceased superstar during his lone season with the St Louis Blues, in 1995-96. A Bauer Supreme 3006 model with “D Hawerchuk” stamped to the upper shaft, the stick retains the original blue gauze-style tape over the custom-shaved handle, with the blade tape intact. Hawerchuk has added an attractive black marker signature over the front side blade near the heel section. Sporting moderate game-use with some rippling to the fiberglass near the toe section of the blade, there is also wear to the shaft including numerous marks, with some glue residue over the upper section.
