Setting an NHL attendance record of 100,000 plus, the 2014 Winter Classic featured Original Six rivals the Toronto Maple Leafs battling the Detroit Red Wings at Michigan Stadium, with the match going to a shootout. Bested by the Leafs 3-2, Pavel Datsyuk scored the lone Red Wings shootout goal, and we offer his practice jersey, uniform pants (photo-matched), uniform socks (unknown if worn in the lead-up practice or game) and framed photo from the contest all signed, accompanied by a full ticket to the game and a seat cushion signed by Datsyuk, Howe and one other. First, the jersey sports CCM labeling with “56” sizing, with “13” handwritten to the collar, with a felt team crest utilized, with the 2014 Winter Classic patch sewn to the right shoulder. There are no discernible marks. The pants are Reebok models with “M” sizing, with a felt Red Wings logo over the right pant leg, with light game-use shown (Getty Image #462664973 has been matched to the marks within the Red Wings logo over the right pant leg, while Getty Image #460576569 has been matched to the black mark beneath the team logo), while the Reebok socks with “L” sizing and handwritten “13” show marks and burns. The photo is 16” x 20” and shows Datsyuk during the contest, double-matted and framed in Red Wings colours to 23” x 27”. Each of these items has been signed by Datsyuk in black marker, with no issues for the signatures. Lastly, the 13 ½” x 13 ½” cushion with 2014 Winter Classic logo is signed by all three in black marker, with the full ticket from the match exhibiting light wear with a few surface line and creases.
