Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
Worn by “The Golden Brett” during the Detroit Red Wings Stanley Cup championship season of 2001-02 in which he put up 63 points in 82 games, and even better numbers during the Wings playoff run on their way to hoisting Lord Stanley’s Cup (18 points in 23 playoff games). These flashy Easton mitts with “Hull” screened to each are bright red in colour and are signed by Hull on both thumbs in black marker (light bleeding) and feature light wear overall including black marks and scuffs. The palms also feature light wear having been darkened in small areas by stick tape. Getty Image #529934 (Oct 6, 2001) shows Hull wearing the same style of gloves during the 2001-02 season against the Vancouver Canucks. A Hockeytown Authentics sticker is affixed to the thumb of the right glove, with a matching COA from the Red Wings included.
