Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
A second-round draft choice of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2012, netminder Anthony Stolarz has seen action in the NHL and AHL, including with the Flyers, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks, Lehigh Valley Phantoms and San Diego Gulls. From the 2019-20 season, where Stolarz played in one regular-season game for Anaheim and spent the majority of the year with the Duck’s farm club San Diego, we have a mask worn by the New Jersey native. While images from the season show Stolarz wearing a different mask with similar paint scheme with both Anaheim and San Diego, this specimen was most likely his back-up mask used/worn in practices. A Bauer model, the paint design features Ducks logos over each side along with “Stolie” over the chin section, with “Prove People Wrong” along with Rule #76 from the film Wedding Crashers over the back plate. The cage is loosely attached, with one screw missing, with just light overall wear present to the mask including a few marks and scratches. A Vaughn carry/storage bag will be included.
