Starring with the QPJHL’s Quebec Frontenacs and Montreal Junior Canadiens during the mid-1950s, Michel Lagace would later represent his nation with the Trail Smoke Eaters at the 1961 IIHF World Championships, winning gold. From his EPHL season with the Hull-Ottawa Canadiens in 1961-62 directly after being crowned a world champion, we offer Lagace’s Canadiens coat, two Canadiens programs (lagace is in the line-up in each), five 1950s hockey patches and a misc. Italian agricultural medallion. The jacket has labeling affixed to the collar from Toronto’s Score, with a felt Canadiens crest with embroidered detailing affixed over the left breast. The right sleeve sports crossed American and Union Jack flags (or Royal Union Flag), with “11” in matching material over the left sleeve. The original buttons are all intact, with light to moderate wear present from use. The programs show good handling wear and appear complete, while the patches include “Duluth 1953”, along with Quebec Hockey Association patches for “1950 Bantam”, “1950 Juv.”, “1951 Midget” and “1955 Junior A”. Originating from his personal collection, an LOA from the Michel Lagace family will accompany.
