Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
The most successful era of Toronto Maple Leafs hockey, with the blue and white winning five Stanley Cup championships in just seven seasons from 1945 to 1951, we offer a Detroit Olympia Stanley Cup finals program from the Leafs third-consecutive championship season in 1948-49. Produced for either of the first two games played in Motor City on April 8th (won by Toronto 3-2 in overtime) or April 10th (3-1 victory by Toronto), the vintage program features Jack Adams on the cover, with the full rosters and line-up intact. With toning the main concern, the program survives in beautiful condition, sporting just a bit of minor spine wear, with the staples rust-free and firmly in place. The Leafs would crush a young Gordie Howe and the Red Wings in the finals, winning four-straight.
