The second-highest grossing movie franchise of all-time, Star Wars is no stranger to setting box office records and has been captivating fans around the world since 1977. Presented here and coming from a galaxy far far away is this Star Wars signed card collection of 11 featuring autographs of some of the most influential actors in the franchise’s existence. The best cards to be featured include a 2018 Topps Archives Signature Series Certified Signature Series Autograph of Matt Lanter. Serial numbered “1/2” in gold foil and signed by the actor in crisp blue ink on the front, the card features a spooky Darth Vader based vision for Lanter’s character Anakin Skywalker. In a sealed Topps case, the card showcases well with a light softness to each corner, a 2018 Topps Archives Signature Series Certified Signature Series serial numbered “02/24” of Joomas Suotamo (Chewbacca) that is in a similar Topps case, signed in same blue ink, and presents in the same condition follows that up. Next, is a custom card that contains a cut signature of Luke Skywalker’s actor, Mark Hamill. The cut signature is a bold black autograph on a piece of paper that presents well and fits nicely. Done by DNJ Cards, the piece is encased in a Beckett holder with the autograph having been deemed authentic. The card itself remains in excellent condition. A 2017 Topps Star Wars Masterwork dual autograph of Forest Whitaker (Saw Gerrera) and Riz Ahmed (Bodhi Rook) is also prominent in the collection. Signed by both in blue ink that displays beautifully with no flaws at all, the card is the first in the print run as designated by it’s “01/25” serial number. Condition remains beautiful. Lastly, to round out the best of the bunch is a 1977 Star Wars card that has been signed by famed R2-D2 actor Kenny Baker, the original piece of cardboard is signed by Baker in blue ink that has faded somewhat. Encased in a Beckett slab, the card’s signature has been deemed authentic by the company with the card itself presenting well despite some age wear found at that corners. The lot is filled out with other signature cards from Topps Star Wars sets including Ashley Eckstein (Ahsoka Tano), Jimmy Vee (R2-D2), Lloyd Sherr (Mortis Father), Warwick Davis (Wicket) which is serial numbered “41/50”, Tim Rose (Admiral Ackbar) that is serial numbered “08/25”, and lastly Caroline Blakiston (Mon Mothma) that comes in as “32/50”. All remain in excellent condition with autographs displaying well in blue ink and no obvious flaws.
