A numismatist off the ice, enjoying coin and medallion collecting, we have a group of Us Mint, Franklin Mint and others sterling silver medals and ingots originating from the personal collection of longtime Detroit Red Wings superstar and HOFer Ted Lindsay. Included, we have a Franklin Mint 1974 Calendar/ Art Medal (10 oz. sterling silver), a Franklin Mint 1973 sterling silver ingot in the original case (2.286 oz.), 4 1970s American Wildlife Collection sterling silver medals (Bobcat, Mountain Lion, Mallards and Moose, about 2.2 oz. each), 1974 (John Adams) & 1976 (Thomas Jefferson) Bicentennial sterling silver medals in boxes, 1975 & 1976 Bicentennial FDC medallions, 1974 & 1976 US Mint United States proof sets (each has a face value of $1.91), 6 different 1972 to 1974 Franklin Mint sterling silver limited-edition medals (two have the Franklin Mint proof certificates, with “The Christmas Carolers” and “Madonna and Child”), 1922, 1972 & 1974 US sterling dollars, a 1972 Bicentennial Sons of Liberty / George Washington medal (bronze) and more! The majority of the medals show light handling wear, with a number remaining in high grade, including the 4 1970s American Wildlife Collection sterling silver medals and the 1974 & 1976 US Mint United States proof sets.
