Historical Hockey and Sports Memorabilia Auction Spring 2022
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 5/31/2022
The first season playing at the newly-built Joe Louis Arena after decades at the famous Olympia, the Detroit Red Wings were coached and managed by longtime franchise legend Ted Lindsay. Originating from the superstar’s personal collection, we have a pair of youth-sized sticks team-signed by the 1979-80 Detroit Red Wings. Matching Louisville Slugger models with “Detroit Red Wings” graphics, each stick has been signed on one side of the shaft by 17 (a few of the signatures have completely worn away, with traces/outlines visible), including Mahovlich, Woods, Labraaten, Joly, Foligno, Polonich, Peterson, Huber, Pirus, Hilworth, Ogrodnick and others. The sticks show light wear including some minor water staining over the top of each shaft. An LOA from the Lindsay family will accompany.
