One of Motor City’s greatest defenseman, Nicklas Lidstrom won an impressive four Stanley Cup championships during his career with the Detroit Red Wings, along with the Conn Smythe Trophy for his performance in the 2002 playoffs. We have a signed stick used by the Swede during his rookie era in the early-1990s. A Montreal 99 Graphite model, Lidstrom is likely stamped onto the upper shaft covered by the intact white tape over the handle (we have sold matching models previously, with “Lidstrom” stamped to the upper shaft). The original black tape over the blade remains, with the first European-born player to captain a Stanley Cup winner adding a pleasing black marker signature across the front side heel. Light game-use is exhibited on the early Lidstrom lumber, with wear to the taped section of blade including the underside, with a few marks and small chips to the shaft.
