Spending the majority of his HOF career in Detroit, Michigan which included serving as general manager of the Red Wings after his playing days as well as being involved with the Detroit Red Wings Alumni Association, Ted Lindsay received recognition from the state on more than one occasion, and we offer a trio of “State of Michigan” plaques presented to the superstar that all originate from his personal collection. Included, we have a Michigan Sports Hall of Fame Plaque, with the 10” x 12” finished wooden plaque with beveled edges sporting a mounted state seal with “Robert Blake Lindsay” beneath. This is followed by a pair of framed 1960s Michigan Senate documents, with a “Senate Resolution No 571” addressing Lindsay as GM of the Red Wings, while the “Senate Resolution No 84 honours the 1965 Red Wings, with the pair framed to approx 11 ½” x 17 ½” (each document and frame shows wear, with Resolution No 84 exhibit water damage). Also included in the lot, we have a 1966 letter from Michigan Governor George Romney to Lindsay to congratulate the superstar on his HOF induction (8” x 10”), a HHOF booklet and a HHOF postcard signed by Lindsay and set in a small display (5” x 9”). An LOA from the Lindsay family will accompany.
