One of the first players to be honoured by the Detroit Red Wings by having his number retired following the immortal Gordie Howe, Ted Lindsay shared the distinction with Alex Delvecchio, with the ceremony taking place at Joe Louis Arena, on Nov 10, 1991. This plaque was presented to Lindsay by the Red Wing Alumni upon his jersey number retirement, and it hails from his personal collection. At 10” x 14 ½” and featuring a shadow box-style wooden frame display, a circular Red Wings logo is mounted over the center with a plaque beneath stating the particulars including “Ted Lindsay”, “In the retirement of your #7”, “November 10, 1991” and “Congratulations Red Wing Alumni”. Just light wear is exhibited, with the display ready for a prominent wall. An LOA from the Lindsay family will accompany.
